Rockin Locker Pockets

Rockin' Locker PocketsPurple Locket Pocket-I painted on an electric guitar in purple and decorated it with heart "guitar picks". Decorated it with gems and Stickles. Alot of bling! On the back of all of these are strong magnets so you can hang these in your locker and put pens etc in them!
Pink Locket Pocket-I painted on an electric guitar in pink and decorated it with heart "guitar picks". There are sequins on this one. Stickles also, and of course on the back are strong magnets so you can hang these in your locker and put pens, and stuff in them!
This one I painted a bright orange guitar on the pocket. I painted flames in this one while the acrylic were wet. I painted little orange 'blobs' behind the heart 'guitar picks'. Sequins on this one but less stickles!
My personal favorite! I painted the guitar onto the pocket and then made a mask basically of the guitar, but only the body if the guitar not the pick guard or the neck. Then I splatter painted it outside in BIG blobs and crazy designs. Behind the heart 'guitar pick' is a sticky mesh stuff. That mesh is in kinda a purpley color.
The basic black one is actually how I started out. I put my name on one of them that looks exactly like this. This one has cute frays and rips to make it look cool and worn. This one is just BEGGING for a name! lol.
Some of my friends got these at my Birthday party filled with candy and they thought they were AWESOME! These make great gifts for teenagers! They are great locker decorations and express individuality while being helpful!
These are my OWN invention so PLEASE!!!! don't copy!
These can be found soon in my Etsy shop for about $8.00 each- www.awesomeartstamps.etsy.com

Davey Havok

Davey Havok-Lead Singer of AFI
Anybody reconize this guy? Maybe not? This is Davey Havok from AFI. I was feeling inspired while listening to them so I thought 'Hey why not?!?!' and used a picture I had printed off that was seriously pixelated. Because it was really hard to see details I decided to just use the picture and my memory and draw what kinda came out like a relistic cartoon.
This is done on normal drawing paper. With a #2 pencil. I dated the drawing to September 19, 2008. This is one of the few portraits I have done and I really want to get better.

Punk Rock Elanee?

No, Elanee doesn't look like this now.
When Elanee wanted to know what this hairstyle would look like on her I was more than happy to help! I scanned in the magazine page and found her picture on the computer. She already had her head tipped at a great angle! I just chopped her head out on Adobe Photo shop and put it on the wanted hair. Her ear was not the same color so instead of darkening it I chopped her ear out of the original picture and made it bigger. I just put it over the models ear. Its not a great Photo shop moment but hey! Elanee learned that the hair didn't really match her personality so she just decided to go with a darker purple etc. This is a great and REALLY fun way to see if a hairstyle will work on you. This whole 'project' was free and only took me about 15 minutes.

Contest Winner Pumpkin

This is my PUMPKIN!!!! There was a competition in the paper running in the fall. They gave you an outline of a pumpkin and you could color it in using whatever medium you wanted and do whatever design on it. Well, since they called it a jack-o-lantern I thought it was only appropriate to give the pumpkin a perdy face! I used colored pencil to design a face and color it in. The words were after the fact when I scanned it to send it via email. There were multiple age groups and four categories. I won Judges Choice in my age group!!! YAY!
I feel like an accomplished artist! Its soooo nice to be recognized!
I won a free advertisement in the paper that is valued at $33 and a free $5 McDonald's gift card. Well, our family is anti-Micky D's so the card is kinda...uhhh...interesting. But I plan to get me some carcinogen fries or maybe a high fructose corn syrup, palm oil, Mono sodium Glutamate McFlurry. LOL!

Star Decorations

Rock Stars...LITERALLY!!!
These were for some friends for the holidays 2007. Each one was thier specific color and band. I found logos online and printed them on photo paper. Saying that each of the stars were only like 2-3 in long the images didnt have to be that big because there had to be alot of room for the cool custom paint jobs. I painted the stars with a base color which happened to be black for all of them. The 'Linkin Park' star I did the same technique as The Harley one. I just used the new Linkin Park logo. This was for my friend Richard. This one didnt need any alterations. 'The Black Dahlia Murder' was probably the easiest to do. Its just black and white. No logo alterations. That was for my friend Zach.
I covered all these with Diamond Glaze to seal it and make it shiney! I think everyone really liked theres and I was happy with them. All in all this whole project for all the stars probably cost me $6, Because I also did a purple star with Patrick Star nailing a board to his head that said 'Ravyn' and Ravyn really loooved hers!

For the 'Harley Mama: In training' one for my friend Megan I had to put the MAMA part on in Adobe and that took some work to try to match the fonts. I came pretty close. Her favorite colors were black and red. I used white just to excentate. I drilled a timy hole in each which took a while because it was a little hand drill...ugh.

The last one 'Disturbed'...DONT GET ME STARTED! I didnt like any of the band logos to choose from. But I chose that one...and then when I pulled it up on Adobe it was soooo pixelated and I couldnt adjust the resoultion at all. The I realized the weird design in the back was fine but the letters were the messed up ones. So after about an HOUR of messing with fonts and sizes etc...I came up with the design there. So no Adam...that isnt truley the Disturbed logo...but I put alot of effort into that one...and I know ya loved it!

The 'ICP/Insane Clown Posse' star was really fun. I had soooo many logo options and more "favorite colors" to work with. I chose my favorite little clown!!! I love that guy. I basically sponge painted with a paintbrush with this one. I got to overlap and randomly place the colors. YAY!!! That star was for Kurtis who I was mad at after I finished it so he never got his. Which sucks...cuz he probably would have loved it. Its now hanging in my room.

Cousin Helps Out?

Cousin Tries To Help Out.
Hehehe...this is #2 in my ACEO series of frogs taking over the world. This one is kinda like Cousin of frog #1 tries to look like frog #1 and help out with taking over the world. I like this guy alot. He's got that kinda goofy sinister frog smile. lol. This is done on regular ACEO card size on pencil and then retraced in ink. Then I water colored it in. I just did this guy on about the 5th. So he is very new.
Very sinister ;)

Sinister Bowler Hat Frog Tries to Take Over The World

MWAHAHAHA!!!!
Ever heard of ACEO cards??? Well they are collector cards that many people collect. Its basically so you can have rockin' art but not have to have it take over all of your wall or whatever. Its so you can have MANY pieces of great art. And there are no limitations except that they have to be 2.5 x 3.5. I have even seen them made out of clay. So here's one of mine! I was sitting with my mom one day and she was doing some and I had this idea. She already had some ACEO cards cut and ready and her nice watercolors out so I sat and sketched. This is done on watercolor paper. It is the ACEO card size of 2.5 x 3.5 in. It was done in pencil then I copied over the pencil in waterproof ink. Then I water colored it in and we have Sinister Bowler Hat Frog Tries to Take Over The World. One of the many in this series. Its just that only a few have been out on paper. My mom has a bunch of these on her blog http://handcraftedbyme.blogspot.com These and my moms will all be listed on Etsy.com soon! Look out if you like them.

Gusto! I got an A+!

A Killer School Project

This is why I am amazing! This was a school project for Tech. class. The assignment was to design a soda can with any kind of drink we wanted. But we had to have a list of ingredients, Nutrients, and a logo. Weeeeelllll....I think I did a FRICKIN amazing job. I designed the logo, came up with the 'catch phrase' even put the recycling sign for it. I had an extra little thing about the product an everything. So please remember that I am awesome and that they should make Organic Energy Drinks just so I can sell this to them and make millions. lol. Just in case you were wondering I got an 100% and my Tech. teacher was pretty shocked!

Please remember that all these pieces of artwork belong to me!

Murry Freekin' C-crissmisss...

Okay Okay...
So I know in some minds this doodle BARELY counts as true art but if art is anything you can get away with then I think this Christmas cheer I left on my sisters write N wipe board most definately counts. I think its pretty self explanitory...its an Elf...drunk on nog and yep...he IS smoking a joint made of holly. Sorry if this offends anyone...I THINK ITS HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!

Good Charlotte Plaque for Jojo.

Good Charlotte PlaqueHere's another one!!!
This plaque is one of those $3ish wooden plaques in the crafting section of Walmart that you can buy. Since our family no longer supports Walmart, you can buy these at Joann Fabrics, Michael's, AC Moore, pretty much anywhere craft supplies are sold. lol. This was done for my best friend for Ayyamiha (A Baha'i holiday). I painted the entire thing hot pink in acrylic paint. I did alittle 'border' in black acrylic paint. While it was drying I found a great picture of punk rock band Good Charlotte and turned it black and white on Adobe Photoshop. I printed that and the Good Charlotte logo on photo paper so it would be really glossy and nice quality. I also typed her nickname in Old English font and printed that on the same sheet of photo paper. While the ink was drying I painted in light pink a bunch of hearts. When they dried I stuck it on with Mono adhesive and then Diamond Glazed the whole thing. As you can see there definitely is a shiny finish! The camera kept getting a glare. In the background of the 2nd picture here of the guitar I did also and it is hanging in Jojo's room.

Greatest Name Painting

This is a painting I did on a stretch canvas in acrylic paints. It obviously was a very LARGE canvas but I don't know exactly how big it is. I painted from the center first and painted in the 9 pointed star which is the symbol of the Baha'i Faith. The I used a really dark purple and just mixed a lot of white into it. As I went layer to layer I just mixed more purple into it saying that I needed to have more paint ANYWAY. So I finished the surrounding stars I used a dry paintbrush to kinda mix the colors into each other color. Then I went around and did the little accents around the points of the star. This went to a family friend in South Carolina for their prayer room. When I visited them not so long ago I got to see it 'in action' lol. It looked great, and they really loooved it!

'Happy Birthday Ravyn' plant card

This is a card I did on Adobe Photoshop for my BFF Ravyn.

I sized how big I wanted it and then filled it in with black. I found the mohawk panda on the Internet. I think it may be a logo for something but since I wasn't selling it I assumed it was okay to use. Ravyn loves pandas and she found it really funny that the panda had a mohawk. I just picked the font I liked and typed it all nice in there. When it was done I printed it on card stock and cut it out. We had bought ahead of time a really cool plant for her because she is really into science and loves plants and I replaced this one with the generic card that comes with it. Hehehe...the next part is fun. I got permission from her dad to go into the back door that goes straight into her room and prop this up in her dresser all nice and neat. When she got home she had a really nice surprise!

Jasons Room Sign

This is a sign on a canvas I put together last minute for my friend Jason. He had a last minute birthday party and I couldn't very well go without a gift. So what better gift than one you made? He thought this was really awesome and his mom just wigged out and thought it was really sweet! So here's how I made it. It is again on a hard backed canvas which I painted a bright green. In the picture it kinda comes up more of a sage color but it was limey. The I used a mask of a cool flame looking thing I got for about $2. It sticks to the canvas an then you paint over it and peel off and reuse. So I put it on the canvas and painted black acrylic paint over it. As you can see I was doing a choppy kind of effect on the side. Then I transferred the letters from the computer and painted them in. This was also done in 2007.

Girls Rock Better Canvas

Kay. So I painted this on a normal 8x10 in. canvas. I painted it black and then while it was still wet I ran my paintbrush through it with bright baby pink paint. When it was completely dry, I then made a mask and painted the white outlines of the electric guitar. I chose one and painted the details in. I transferred the letters on from the computer and painted them white and did a little pink in there too. Ended it with Stickles for a little BLING and signed and dated it. I sold this painting for $15.00 and have had multiple people wigging out and asking her where she bought it! WOO!!!! This was done last year, during the summer.

Hey, with all the women who influenced rock, I think that this HAS to be true! lol.
